Fallacy

High above the clouds where it's all white, There, feeling proud like an almighty flew a kite. His heart contented and his spirits high, He flew along with the wind and let out a cry! He looked down to the pleasing view below, trees scattered everywhere alongside a small floe. His eyes found the tiny blue house, Inside which he had heard, lived a big fat mouse. He flew further along, coming above the market, Where trade was going on, of a beautiful red carpet. His heart soared at the sight of his brothers, Trying to fly higher than one another. He rushed along towards the sky With his spirits high. Trying to fly higher and reach the top, Not fearing the heights nor the drop! But oh! He felt a tug on his tail, Which reduced his speed even lesser than a snail. He cried out in annoyance, Feeling as if it was a joke of some sense. His spirits came down and his heart sunk, he couldn't help but feel as if he flunked. he struggled and fought to get free, but his strings prevented him from making a spree. He cursed the ropes wishing for them to slack, Thinking that they were the one holding him back. But little did he knew they were for his own benefit, Otherwise he would have been blown out like a candle which is lit. But suddenly he couldn't feel the force anymore, The thread on his tail? he couldn't feel it for sure! He let out a shriek of happiness and dashed ahead, Never thinking again about the thread. He flew alongside everyone, the wind his carrier. And he thought he was better alone, he didn't need a savior. His eyes closed, his breath even He felt as thought he was finally in heaven. Alas! no good thing lasts forever, And the end was coming slowly nearer. The wind turned against him, taking him far away, And he didn't realize for he was content as he swayed. His eyes snapped open when he couldn't feel the sunlight, And it was all dark around him, nothing bright. He was in one of the alleys between two buildings high, And he could feel the dread within, the fear to die. He could see his brothers flying, Smiling and still playing all the while. The threads still attached to them, keeping them in air, And the kite realized his mistake, begging to be spared. A car drove around, splashing water in the alley, And he laid down looking all dirty and shabby. Two little kids came running towards him, They didn't notice, and their footprints embedded in his skin. He was left alone in the dark corner where no one dared step, And he did nothing but cursed his destiny and wept. He remembered the days of deep content and when happiness spread, When he wasn't alone, and had the thread!
