Yes I am a woman, just like the one who gave birth to you,

Not many people understand my worth but only a few.

Everyone thinks I am weak and fragile,

when I have been strong and powerful all the while.

Yes I am a woman, just like the girl whom you call sister,

But just because I am not her, doesn't give you the right to molest me mister!

Everyone just looks and me and my body,

But I can at the same time be: loving, caring, bright and gaudy.

Yes I am a woman, just like your numerous girl friends,

But all you do is break my heart and make my head bend.

Everyone thinks I am a perfect human and a doll,

And is it just for formality that you say I'll be there at your one call?

Yes I m a woman, just like your wife,

And my pride is not politics nor a topic for strife.

Everyone thinks I am supposed to be good at chores,

And all they do is judge me on what I ate or what I wore.

Yes I am a woman, just like your daughter,

But just because I am not her, doesn't mean you have the right to slaughter.

Everyone thinks I am one of those happy girls,

But I am not like those who wishes for diamonds or pearls.

Yes I am a woman, just like the goddess whom u worship,

But just because I am human, doesn't mean you will make me strip.

Everyone expects that I should be strong,

But that doesn't mean I won't deny the wrong!

Yes I am a woman, but that doesn't mean I am weak,

And I am the one who's forgiveness you shall seek.

Many have wronged me all their life,

And if I tell you to please leave me alone, it simply means you are not my type.

Yes I am a woman, but that doesn't mean you can force me,

And if I want to go away from you, please let me be.

Everyone assumes so much already without my consent,

Just because I am a girl, it doesn't mean you have the right to resent.

Yes I am a woman, so please respect my choice,

And if I don't speak, it means I don't want to ruin you not that I don't have a voice.

So instead of trying to get my body by your lies and traps,

Try to get to know the real me, and you will realize I am not an item to grasp.

Yes I am a woman, one of the most kind, lovable and mild,

But if you wrong me ever, don't expect forgiveness, I'll become wild.

If you be there for me, I'll protect you with my life and love,

But if you treat me like trash, I will definitely put my respect above!
